Thank you for raising me up

This week Rebeca’s home room teacher asked us to write in with the lyrics to our favorite song and a paragraph about why. After a lot of thinking I decided mine was You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban. Why you may ask? Because of my love for all of you. I am who I am because of everyone of you and the positive influence you have had in my life. Thank you for being my shoulders to stand on and for your listening ears. Thank you for raising me up. I am who I am because of you.

I love you.

Here are the lyrics

You Rise Me Up

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
